The purpose of Pushmataha Development Initiative is to enchance and promote the
economic well-being of Pushmataha County by improving educational resources of the county which helps capital investment while maintaining the "rural quality of life" so cherished by all.

Antlers, the seat of Pushmataha County, is a part of the southeast region in the state of Oklahoma. This region is known as Kiamichi Country and is nestled deep in the Kiamichi River Valley among the foothills of the Kiamichi Mountains. It is served by State Highways 2, 3 and US Highway 271. Antlers is just off of the Indian Nation Turnpike system.

The Kiamichi and Little Rivers are known for float trips, tubing, fishing and a secluded atmosphere that is unparalleled. Sportsman on the hunt for deer, turkey, quail and squirrel are sure to love the Pushmataha Wildlife Area and the Honobia Creek Wildlife Management Area.
